The light came on at 14 months

For the record 14 months was the age when it clicked with Graham that he is learning. He is encouraged by doing new things successfully. Now he is much more willing to mimic actions and speech. He scrunches his nose if you do. He has mini conversations with himself with all the inflection of questioning, excitement and definitive statements. He wants to try to move around in new ways. Every time we're outside he heads straight for the uneven sidewalk and its steps, as if it were a challenge he wants to conquer.

Now, there are a lot more fits - I mean the throwing yourself on the floor, tear welling fits - but it is so exciting to see the light in Graham's eyes when he knows he's trying to do something new. We're learning the phrase, "I did it!" (which sounds more like "I zht"). Very cool stuff!!!
