So this will be known as the Halloween when Graham had to be a whale. We had asked him for about three weeks what he wanted to be and he was pretty consistent about being a whale. So I scoured the Internet and found the one whale costume out there. (There is another but it looked more like a fairy princess than a whale.) When it arrived, he was so excited that his whale had finally gotten here.
Graham was all ready to go trick-or-treating - not shy this year at all. He was very good about saying trick-or-treat and thank you. We counted each candy as it was dropped in his bucket. After he got his candy - in true goof ball, over-the-top Graham style - he would run from the house and run around one of us yelling, "I got one! I got another candy!" And then we were off to the next house. As we were on the way home, Graham said he wanted to go home and get a drink, so it was a happy walk home.
All in all it was a great holiday celebration (even though we were forced to celebrate Halloween on Thursday. Don't get me started!) I wonder if we'll get another year out of that whale...
