It's confirmed...

... he's big. Last Friday we went to Dr. Ramirez and Graham weighed in at 14.05 lbs. and measured 22" in length. What is more telling is that he is in the 90th percentile for weight but the 25th percentile for length. Short and squatty - true to his genetic code!

He got four shots and an oral vaccine. He gets multiple shots at every doctor's visit until he is 2 years old. I'm trying not to think about it. I know him getting the shots is better than him getting the conditions that they protect against.

All in all the doctor was pleased with Graham's development.

These days Graham is trying to suck his thumb. Unfortunately his other four fingers are holding it hostage. Every once in a while his thumb gets loose and he jams it in his mouth and all of the other fingers magically open up. He'll get it one of these days

We are honing in on a bedtime routine. It includes a walk in the stroller, a bath with a lotion rub down following, a 6 oz. bottle of formula and a rocking/pacifier/lullaby combo before his majesty goes into his crib. We're still working on it. I'll let you know how it goes. Currently he is waking up once at night. We'll take it and keep our fingers crossed that it lasts.

Graham's new loves:
a. television - He will strain his neck to see the TV. We have taken to putting a blanket over his play mat to block him.
b. his own tongue - He twirls it around in and out of his mouth and sucks on it. Very cute!
c. kicking - He wants you to push on the bottoms of his feet so he can push on them. Then when you move your hands, he kicks out. That lasts a good 20 minutes!
