Warren's first loves

I have been trying to get a good video of Warren babbling and reaching and belly-laughing, but every time I get the opportunity to get out the camera, he clams up. Hmph! So, I will relay by story...

It's funny. I remember how all these milestones were momentous with Graham and, with Warren they have seemed to come on so suddenly.

Warren is now reaching for everything. He is stretching out those chubby little elbows all the time now. He reaches for this toys dangling from his playmat. He puts his hands in front of his face and watches them dance. Every morning we go out on the deck, and he leans forward to touch all of the plants in their boxes. And when Graham sits next to him, Warren reaches out to touch his arm.

Which leads me to his next love, his brother. The other day we got home from daycare and Graham started jumping around as usual, and Warren let out repeated belly-laughs. Graham and I were so touched and amused at the same time. Often with multiple people in the room, Warren will finally see Graham, fix his gaze on him, and let go a goofy smile. He SO loves his brother!

Lastly, most times when Warren goes fussy, I can sing to him and he stops fussing immediately. His favorites are Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, and The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. I've never seen anything like it. In fact, if I sing anything else, he starts to cry more - seriously! Of course, I try to sing as quietly as possible in public, but don't think I don't pull those songs out whenever I need them. But as much as I'm REALLY tired of singing those songs, it still amazes me how they affect him.

Warren is really coming into his own as a baby. Coming soon: rolling over (maybe... he's got a lot to roll over!!)

That's so sweet! I bet Warren's first word is some version of Graham's name!
