First he is really trying to say something. In a very determined voice he says, "Ba Ba!" with an emphasis on the last ba. We've decided that it means one of two things. Either it means something to the effect of "I want..." or it means "mom" and "dad" interchangeably - these days those two concepts kinda mean the same thing, don't they? He'll start screaming, "Ba, ba," when one us leaves the room. When we respond from the other room, he stops. Ba ba definitely means something.
Graham is obsessed with his bath toys. They are squishy and he likes to chew on them. Also he'll suck on the hole where the water comes out - Yum! We've taken to closing the bathroom door most of the day because he'll keep going in there. He'll bang on the door on occasion trying to get in. Once he's in his little inflatable tub with his toys, he likes to throw them over the side. What can you do??!?!?
We are down to one nap. He started transitioning a few weeks ago when I couldn't get him to take his afternoon nap. He would only fall asleep if he was in the car while we were out running errands. Then he wouldn't go to sleep in the morning until way after his normal nap time. So, slooowwwwwly mom finally figured it out and now he takes one nap in the late morning.Graham in cruising pretty well now. Cruising is the term used to describe when a baby holds onto furniture while making his way around on two feet. I only clarify this term because it took me several conversations to realize the meaning through context. He's really itching to walk on his own, though. He'll stand on his own for a while with a wild look in his eye and just when he's going to take a step, he falls on his hands and crawls away. Today he did let go of the ottoman and took two steps to get to the over-sized chair. He could've held onto the ottoman to get there, but he didn't. He's on his way!
That's all the big stuff. We're really looking forward to Grahams' birthday party this weekend. I'll write more soon after that.
